Creating travel experiences around the interests and goals of individuals, small groups, and youth.

Small Group Trips

Traveling small changes how you experience a place

Our small group journeys are designed for 8–12 travelers, giving us the flexibility to experience places in ways that aren't always possible with a larger group.

We explore with knowledgeable local guides, spend time in nature, learn about the history and culture of the places we visit, and leave room for a little adventure along the way.

A few of our journeys

Greece — Migration, Faith & the Footsteps of St. Paul
Exploring ancient and modern Greece through the stories of migration and faith.

South Africa & Lesotho — Healing & Reconciliation
Learning from communities and grassroots organizations working toward healing after violence and injustice.

Slovenia — Adventure, Nature & Culture
Experiencing Slovenia through its mountains, rivers, outdoor adventures and local culture.

Guatemala — Community & Connection
Spending time at the San Lucas Mission, learning about everyday life and connecting with a community-led organization.

Custom Group Travel

Traveling with a faith community, school, family, or other organization? I design custom trips built around who you are and what you're hoping to accomplish together.

Every group has different priorities around budget, comfort, and experience. I work with you to figure out where spending adds real value and where it doesn't, so the trip fits your group rather than a fixed formula.

Additionally, I supply as much or as little support as you need. I can create an itinerary and help with a few key arrangements, or manage the planning, booking, local partners, logistics, and on-the-ground leadership.

Youth Trips

Travel is a pretty incredible classroom.

Youth trips combine cultural experiences, adventure, and experiential learning. Young people meet people, ask questions, and experience a destination in ways that go beyond sightseeing.

Learning before, during and after the trip

Before traveling, we learn about the destination and identify questions the group wants to explore. Those questions help shape our experiences and conversations along the way.

After returning home, groups can continue the learning through projects, presentations, service, or connections within their own communities.

Custom Youth & School Trips

Trips can be created for schools, churches, youth programs and other organizations and designed around your group's ages, interests, educational goals and budget.

I can provide anything from itinerary development and educational programming to complete trip planning, booking and leadership.

What might this look like?

Lesotho — Creativity, Connection & Adventure
Working on a photography project with local youth through a community center, then pony trekking together through the mountains to discover San rock art and dinosaur footprints.

South Africa — Food, Wildlife & Adventure
Shopping at a local market and learning to make chakalaka in a traditional potjie, exploring by tuk-tuk, and heading out on safari.

Greece — Art, Migration & Island Life
Creating art alongside migrant youth at a local nonprofit, then exploring the history, villages, beaches and landscapes of the Greek islands.

Northern Ireland — Peace, History & Place
Taking part in a peace and reconciliation workshop at Corrymeela Community, overlooking the North Sea, and exploring ancient castles and the history held within them.

Spain — Architecture, Food & City Life
Exploring Gaudí's extraordinary architecture in Barcelona, then eating your way through Zaragoza's El Tubo on a tapas crawl.

Your Trip

Travel built around you.

You may know exactly where you want to go, or you may be starting with an interest, an idea, or a reason for traveling.

Food and culture. Family history. Sacred places. A sabbatical. Outdoor adventure. A milestone. Whatever brings you to travel, I create the trip around your interests, travel style, pace and budget.

As much or as little help as you need.

I can help shape your itinerary and find the right experiences, or take care of everything from beginning to end—lodging, transportation, local guides, activities, special experiences and all the little logistics in between.

Custom trip planning starts at $500. Fees vary depending on the length and complexity of your trip and how much planning support you need. We'll start with a free consultation to talk through your trip and what kind of support you need.

How It Works

1. Let's talk about your trip.
We'll start with a free 30-minute conversation about where you're thinking of going, who you're traveling with, your interests, budget, travel style, and how much planning help you're looking for.

2. I'll create a plan for you.
After our conversation, I'll recommend a level of planning support and provide a clear fee. Depending on what you need, that might include itinerary design, lodging, transportation, local guides, activities and experiences, restaurant recommendations or reservations, and other trip logistics.

3. We'll build the trip together.
You'll have a chance to review the plan and make changes before everything is finalized. If I'm handling your bookings, I'll take care of those arrangements too.

4. Everything in one place.
Your final itinerary, reservations, important information and travel documents will be available in an easy-to-use travel app while you're away.
